Yes? [Eilonwy notices the gentle tone and looks confused for a second at Inigo's question.] What do you mean?
[She looks back to the page she's been writing on and leans back slightly, studying it from another angle before leaning back to her original position. That didn't help unfortunately.] Wait, what in..?
[Inigo's guess is right- the page is just scribbles. Eilonwy turns the page backwards and it's more of the same.] I don't know, actually- I can't read this at all. But I know I was paying attention to what you were describing!
[Sure enough, some of the scribbles have underlines on sections. Parts about petal counts, or color notes, but Eilonwy can't make that out now and just looks horribly confused.] [
So something is going on. Inigo isn't sure what yet, but it's not normal for Eilonwy to be scribbling when she didn't mean to. Maybe if it was just a line or two, but he can definitely see entire pages of it, pretty much accounting for the entire time he's been describing these flowers to her. And since she can also see they're scribbles, it means he can't be the one who has been influenced here to see something that isn't there.
It means the problem is within her. Someone did something to Eilonwy. ]
Hey-- It's alright. [ She looks so confused that Inigo immediately feels bad for her, putting up his hands in a soothing sort of gesture. He's also kind of freaked out, but Inigo has always been good at pushing that down in favor of taking care of others. ]
There is clearly something strange going on, but we will figure it out together, alright? Can you think of anything else that's been happening that seems odd to you?
(sorry this is so late!)
