Because there were a lot of things buzzing around in his head during the end of the mission. Even as they were suddenly all thrown back together into the luggage carriage. The first thing that truly distracted him from all the worries that haunted his mind was Tidus dragging him over to their room and leaving him unable to think about anything but Tidus.
.. he's okay with that, at least for a moment more. He'd like to just think about Tidus right now.
"Though.." When he continues, it's with a hint of amusement. "I think I'm going to fall asleep like this at this rate."
He's just too comfortable. And too tired. A deadly combination for a guy laying there naked and dirty.
To fall asleep. Tidus wasn't sure there was any other plan in mind, or any consideration to do anything else. Even if he gives it room now, that there's other things to do - no, he can't. His mind is empty, his body as comfortable as it's going to be with the aches and bruises that continues to cling or linger like a ghost; wounds taken, wounds covered up.
All he wants is to be here though, his head on Inigo's shoulder, eyes drifting closed, no other place of concern in his mind.
"I wanna sleep," he asserts, to make clear, since it apparently already wasn't. "End of missions...always a drag." He nuzzles his head, getting it comfortable in the spot it's in. "Let's eat a lunchbox."
Screw making anything or even going to the kitchens.
Inigo lets out a slight noise, turning his head so his cheek is leaning against the top of Tidus's head.
"Okay." It's not like they aren't still going to have plenty of time to eat anything other than a lunchbox, after all. They'll probably be stuck on the train for the rest of the month. Or - if the train is planning to make another stop - at least for a week or two. That's plenty of time to do other things.
But right now.. Right now, it's just the time to lay here together, all cuddled up and warm.
"Want to see who can fall asleep first?" He mumbles, sounding kind of amused.
"Beat ya," comes his reply; a 'I'll' missing there, but the hint of punch to the answer is sure enough to know it's game on.
What a sight the pair of them would be to walk in on, but luckily, there'll never have to worry about that. And Tidus doesn't delay in trying to win this competition put forth - he'd be trying to win it even if Inigo hadn't challenged him.
Because everything is lulling him to sleep right now, and Tidus is more than happy to answer its call.
