[On the 24th Inigo will find a box with his name along with a holiday card that reads,]
[Inside are a small bag of chocolates and a personalized chess set!
His chocolates are dragon shaped. They are mildly spicy with a hint of cinnamon. Cinnamon is a comforting flavor for Arrakis and he appreciates Inigo risking his life to help him the minotaurs.
His chess set is a beautifully carved wooden board with light and dark wood squares and the carving of a serpentine dragon wraps around the border. The pieces are white and black wood and carved on the bottom of one of the black knights are Arrakis's initials, AF.]

[ Inigo will find several presents sitting outside his door, wrapped in black wrapping paper with purple bows. The first is a squishy package containing a big comfy blue blanket. The second is a collection of books, all notably featuring knights on the covers, their blurbs promising only the best of gay knight fiction. ]
[Delivered quite kindly by the mail mice to Inigo's home is a bag of homemade potpourri and a little handmade Christmas Pixie. Last but not least, there are some Christmas cookies (some are a little misshapen but it's clear they were made with care).

[Delivered to Inigo's door by a giant owl is a box. Should he open it there it is filled with goodies to help survive the winter. There are two candles, one made of beeswax, bright and yellow, another is scented with cinnamon, orange, and pine. Next to the honey wand is a whole jar of honey that came from Aurora's bees, much like the beeswax honey. But it's not just honey and nuts, there is a sweet treat as well. Raspberry tarts are wrapped up safely to ensure they do not crumble.
In the box is a letter with elegant handwriting:]

[On a particular day in early February, the mail mice will deliver a red envelope to Inigo. It's folded to resemble a little pouch, and inside are found eight flower seeds and two lines of calligraphy.]

[Okay, he's put this off long enough, and his moody nature has recovered from the (ridiculous and embarrassing) feeling of being spurned after seeing Inigo get along with that suspicious alchemist and not noticing Cat silently making a face at him that was definitely not some form of pining for friendship.

Inigo feels pretty surprised when he suddenly finds this message waiting for him. Really, even though he had some bad experiences back when the town shifted like that, he didn't really expect anyone to apologize for it. Most people couldn't really help it, after all. Inigo never blamed a single person for what they did under the influence of this place.
And yet.. there it is. A kind of apology. A clarification, at least. The blue-haired guy has to stare at the words for a few moments, unsure what to do about them. Unsure how to even reply. ]

But Cat just never seemed like any of them. It makes it hard for him to imagine the other that way - just being careless, cruel. Just letting people get hurt, as long as he comes out of it better on the other side. Every attempt he makes to imagine it just comes up blank.
Even more so when he can't imagine why someone would be nice to him if they wouldn't bother to be nice to others. ]

He spent too long without anybody he could rely on, and now the person that changed that for him isn't there.
