[ ...You know, given some of the swords back in Spira, can he really say anything? He sorta wants to, but he holds back for now, knowing they had a few more things to go. Three lots of books, two separate bundles of clothing... ]

Nothing special - I looked through the catalogue the train has. Some clothes for training in, some jackets, shirts and that. Got some shoes with it all too.

[ He looks over, just for a second. ]

You can have a pair if they fit. What size shoe are you?

[ Inigo looks away from the suitcases he was looking at, instead glancing over at Tidus.

For a moment he seems to contemplate the question, but then he just raises his foot, as if to show it off to Tidus.

This. This is his shoe size. You really think a medieval place like Ylisse had shoe sizes? Of course not. It's just about what fits you. ]

[ .............. ]

...I'll let you try them on. [ There. He fixed it. He solved the problem, no need to thank them!

--but oh, wait, is this here...? Tidus picks up a small suitcase, light in weight. Mouth opening to call Inigo's name.

And then Tidus reconsiders, kneeling down and setting it flat down. He starts unzipping it quuuuueitly to take a peek inside, not opening the lid up fully. Ohhhh, is this a tiny jacket? Kinda hard to see like this.... but oh, there's some shiny material in here.... ]

[ See, at first he doesn't realise that Tidus has found the treasure.

Because the moment Tidus solves their problem with his magical solution, Inigo has already gone back to looking through everything. He's not even looking at Tidus, which means the other has all the time in the world to take a peek into the small suitcase he's found.

But after a few moments, Inigo pipes up. ]

Oh, Tidus! I think I found your set of--

[ He looks over in Tidus's direction and pauses. ]

.. what do you have there? [ You can tell by Inigo's sheer tone that he already knows the answer to that question. Considering how Tidus seems to be hunching over it like he's Gollum or something. ]

NOTHING.

[ SLAM. Actually, neither the slapping of his hands on the suitcase lid or his reply comes first but both at once. Heat rising in his face that he doesn't turn to look at Inigo with.

J-just.

Let him...

...sliiiddee this suitcase away from both himself and Inigo.

Then, give him a moment. ]

S-so -- found anything?

[ Please ignore the higher note than usual he's speaking with. ]

Inigo raises his eyebrows, moving over so he's a little closer to where Tidus is. Even though the suitcase is definitely still on the other side from him, he can still see it. And see his name on it.

If it wasn't already obvious a moment ago what was happening here, it would have been now. ]

Come on. [ At least he doesn't sound angry. If anything, Inigo lets out a very slight laugh. ] Are you seriously embarrassed just because you're trying to cover up that you found it?

[ Stop peeeeeking, Inigo!!!!

And please, just let him stay crouched here pretending he can ignore Inigo and this embarrassing situation. Is it his fault he seriously can't lie very well...?!! And now he has to fess up...because he sure can't lie himself out of this new scenario.

ugh

...I thought you'd try taking it and hiding it 'til you were all dressed up. [ Mumble grumble grumble. Embarrassment tingling through his shoulders, Tidus still now has the good sense to swing the suitcase from one side to the other by the handle. ]

I couldn't see much anyway.

[ So he didn't even do anything weird in the end! That's how that works! ]

It's okay.

[ It's not as if Inigo can blame Tidus for thinking that when Inigo is constantly throwing fits about the idea of dancing, let alone this dancing outfit.

But oddly enough, the exact fact that Tidus is the one who's a bit more shy and flustered right now makes it easier for Inigo to be a bit less so for once. Just enough to reach out while he's also squatting down, gently putting his hand on top of Tidus's to take the suitcase from him.

Not to hide it though. No, instead he puts it in front of them. He smiles sidelong at Tidus. ] Here, let's have a look together instead.

[ And after casting a very quick and careful glance over at the door to make sure no one is walking in, Inigo just opens up the suitcase, so they can both see the outfit in it.

And that sight does finally manage to bring some colour to his face. It does remind him a little of his mother's outfit, but.. different. Unique. It's not like any dancer outfit he's seen before. ]

Oh. .. Oh. That's.. um..

[ How is he supposed to even put words to this? ]

[ Oh.

It's the colours that catch Tidus's eye first: attractive all together, or from what he thinks he can tell. But when everything is inside this tiny suitcase, it's not very easy to experience the outfit, is it? At least.... Tidus isn't completely sure what they're looking at.

But he thinks that does look like a jacket...! ]

You... [ The word comes out low, nowhere to go as he examines the area around him. Thinking, before he gets a bright idea and drags one of the other suitcases next to Inigo's, and then explains to Inigo what he's doing before he thinks to grab another. ]

Let's set it out on the suitcases so you can see it better! You want to?

[ He doesn't very well just want to put Inigo's new clothes on the floor, after all! ]

Oh.. Y-Yes, sure.

[ Inigo definitely would have protested the idea more if the precious clothes were being put out on the floor, but thankfully Tidus had a good idea here. And that leaves his only possible protest being that he doesn't want to show Tidus - and that isn't true. Even with all his fluster about the whole deal, he wants to share this with Tidus right now, in exchange for all his support.

So while the other gathers more suitcases, Inigo carefully starts taking the pieces of the outfit out of the one in front of them, one by one. First the pants - the part that made him think the most of his mother's outfit. Then the golden belt, the jacket that Tidus was eyeing, then a black top--

Ah, wait. That one's rather short, isn't it? Wouldn't his stomach be entirely exposed? Isn't there some piece of the outfit that covers that up?

There's more yet to be taken out of the suitcase, but it's the top that has Inigo fixated for a moment, staring at it as he holds it. ]

I'm, erm.. I'm slowly starting to feel like I may have to train up my body some before wearing this.

[ Why can't he have an all-abs stomach rather than the flat, but relatively not too defined one he has, huh? Especially with his dumb scars on there. ]

[ He feels better with Inigo in agreement, the earlier embarrassment washing away and his keen interest in this outfit coming out. Luckily, there's larger suitcases around than the one that Inigo's clothes were folded up in, the more fiddly part being for the pant legs. ...and figuring how to set those arm things.

But getting a bigger picture of the outfit, Tidus is smiling - a smile that doesn't change at the dismaying note Inigo's voice is taking. ]

That's a belly shower for sure. [ Look at that short top! ] You wanna get on a workout? Time to start cutting out the sweets!

[ Heh! Guess who isn't all shy about a belly being shown for a person's special outfit!! ]

[ When is Tidus ever shy about skin, really.

He's never been before. Inigo remembers that time in the hot springs - that moment that didn't get weird until Inigo made it weird. He knows Tidus is about ten thousand times more comfortable with that kind of stuff than he is, but he still just groans. ]

I don't think even stopping eating sweets forever is going to make me look like you. [ No homo. ]

Hopefully it won't look that odd once I put it on..

[ Please, Naga. Just make him look at least halfway decent even without a six pack?

He reaches over to grab the shoes from the suitcase - the last remaining item, leaving the rest of it all on display. ]

.. there's really a lot to this. [ So many different things to put on! Maybe he'll need Tidus's help after all, like they joked about before. ]

You'll get used to it.

[ It's a strange, new sort of giddiness for Tidus that isn't quite what it was minutes ago. There's frills to the outfit he isn't used to, the design not familiar either, but the basis of it, and what it means - it reminds him of another life, picking up one of the detached sleeves. ]

This has about as many parts as my blitz uniform did. [ His star outfit, anyway. He holds the sleeve up. ] Our team outfit had these, without the hanging parts. I couldn't stop pulling them up when I wore them.

[ Grinning, he sets it back down. ]

I bet it'll be easy enough to figure out once you take everything off and start putting it on.

[ No worry, bro! Just strip and do it!! Don't overthink it! Tidus will even offer, with the slight raise of his brows: ]

You wanna go and try it on now?

[ He's not so bothered about his own things that he minds having to grab them later. ]

I.. [ The "I" is held for a moment longer, before it just sizzles out. Inigo knows why Tidus is going about it like this. The longer he thinks about it, the more reluctant he'll start to feel about it, and Inigo is very much aware of it. Maybe it's just now or never.

Well, maybe not now-now, since he isn't about to strip in the middle of the luggage carriage where anyone could walk in at any moment now. Which is why his answer first comes with him grabbing the parts of the outfit, stuffing them back into the suitcase - because he so is not going to walk around with his arms full of that, okay, it'll give people too many questions.

Once he's clumsily shoved everything in there, he stands up, holding the suitcase. ]

Alright, let's go, before I change my mind. [ Or before Inigo starts thinking a little too much about Tidus in his blitzball outfit, which could bring on entirely different problems. ]

[ Look at Inigo go. Tidus has the sense to move back some of the suitcases while he's shoving the articles back into his; noticing the one they used for the torso of Inigo's clothing (not that much, huh pal!!) actually has a familiar name on its tag, dangling in sight as he shifts the one next to it back.

Oh.

But then Inigo's up and speaking, and in that second Tidus has to decide, he stands up too without the suitcase, putting it aside with the rest. A confident smile on his face meaning to reassure. ]

Alright! Let's go, let's go! No hanging around!

[ Tidus puts his hands on the sides of Inigo's shoulders and makes a motion of making them turn. Go go go! ]

[ Fine, fine, he's going!

In fact, Inigo is so distracted by Tidus's hassling that he doesn't even notice the name on the suitcase. Instead he's just adjusting the one he's holding in his arms as well as he can so his arms won't go numb trying to carry it back to their room. It may not be heavy, but it's cumbersome to carry considering its shape, okay!

Thankfully the walk back should go smoother than the walk there, especially if they don't stop each other the whole time this time around.

SO THEY'RE THERE. It's happened. They're in the room now before this whole walk back over derails again--

And Inigo is just putting the suitcase down on Tidus's bunk. He can't complain if it was his idea! Also, he's so not throwing it into the tub. ]

.. Now what should I even put on first? [ There's so much!! ]

[ wow can't believe you would skip over that LONG AGONISING DISTANCE BETWEEN CARS.

But fine, they're in their cabin! Tidus not bothered about where the suitcase is, since that means they can open it up, start to take everything back out. ]

Think your underwear matters? You don't want your wardrobe downstairs looking weird because you're a guy who likes them baggy.

[ He picks up the trousers, holding them up to inspect, but with a view where Inigo can see them too. ]

I guess it won't matter with these. They're baggy anyway.

[ Not the kind of wardrobe consideration they need...! ]

[ Hey, here's a suggestion.

Can Tidus maybe not bring up Inigo's wardrobe downstairs. Please!! This wouldn't even be that odd of a talk since they're just dudes among each other, but it starts to get a whole lot more awkward when you realise the guy you're heavily crushing on is considering your wardrobe downstairs, thanks.

Thankfully Inigo manages to swallow the embarrassment before he says anything too stupid, and instead he just holds out a hand to silently ask for the pants.

No, his cheeks aren't pink! That's just your imagination. ]

I'll put those on first then. [ Thank Naga they're baggy. A small mercy. ] And then I'll put on the black top, and the jacket.. and we can figure out where everything else goes after that. I think I'm going to need some help with those sleeves..

[ His cheeks are so pink, look at his bro being all awkward about his outfit. But it's alright, Tidus isn't going to tease. He's going to hand over the pants without a fuss, a tip of his head at the plan. ]

Sure, I'll help.

[ A beat. Tidus turns some sideways, a grin spreading across his face. ]

[ Could anyone really blame him for teasing Inigo when the guy reacts so easily? So perfectly? There's not even a moment of hesitation before that sharp 'yes' is already blurted out, the embarrassment not hidden in the slightest in his tone. Inigo's hands are already on the waistband of the pants he's wearing right now, though he suddenly seems very determined to not drop them until he's absolutely sure Tidus is no longer watching him.

Or suddenly going to turn around to look at him. ]

Don't you dare peek! I'm going to take it off now!

[ And then, as if Inigo doesn't realise he's giving away the most perfect teasing material: ]

They're off now! [ Yes, his pants really are off. He's just giving it away here. He doesn't stay that way for long though, really quick to grab the new pair of pants, tugging them up, and..

.. ah. ]

H-Hang on, there's a problem! [ THEY WON'T STAY UP WITHOUT THE BELT.

If Tidus does look, he'll see Inigo standing there, just.. desperately holding up the dancer pants he's now wearing by their waistband. Like he can't let go with even one hand or risk disaster.

Tidus, help. Please. Bro. ]

[ 'They're off now!' ]

[ bro why are you telling him they're off for, is this code, are you walking him through every step.

Actually, Tidus figures it's the latter, but he can't help but give him some hassle for it while he has to look at the door. He's going to get hit in the face if S'reee suddenly comes in here, isn't he? Hmmm, now is a good time to consider if he wants to hold his hands up in front of himself just in case...

Except, uh oh, uh oh, emergency emergency from behind- ]

A problem? [ Wait, he said hang on, so- ] Do you need help?

[ He turns his head some, but not entirely, not sure if it's safe or not to look. IS IT? INIGO?? INIGO CAN HE LOOK. ]

[ Sorry to interrupt your door dreams here, Tidus, but this is a level X emergency. The X stands for extreme, judging by how freaked out Inigo seems over here. ]

Yes, I-- I need help! Please! [ Just listen to how desperate he sounds, Tidus. Even though he's not giving any verbal indication as to whether you can look behind you, but surely that panic means it's necessary. ]

Can you help grab the belt.. I think it's that golden round thing. [ That better be a belt, anyway, because otherwise these pants are never going to stay up. Were these pants made for someone larger than him or something?! ] I.. I need to hold up my pants, so can you put it on for me..?

[ WHAT IF HE GETS SLAMMED IN THE FACE BY THE DOOR THOUGH, INIGO. WHAT THEN.

But no, no more door, since that's an affirmative in the needing help. Tidus turns to the sight that's been waiting behind him of one bro despairingly holding up his baggy pants, the golden band easy enough to grab and...

Uhh... okay. I think you're supposed to step into it, then lift it to your waist? Then tie it from there? [ This is...weird, but after a pause of hesitation, Tidus knees and holds the belt out. ]

[ Honestly, despite these being clothes from his era, Inigo seems to have just as little of an idea as Tidus does as to what they're supposed to do with this. After all, it's nothing like the style of clothes Inigo is used to wearing. He's never put something like this on before.

But that's also why he's ready to accept Tidus's idea of how to do it without protest. Still carefully holding up his pants, but moving to step within the thing with one foot, then the other.

Of course it leaves him no hands to pull it up, but he's trusting his bro here..!! ]

Can you.. tie it in place too..?

[ Just so there's absolutely no possibility of this turning into the most awkward day ever when Inigo accidentally drops his pants. He's holding those up until he's 100% sure the belt is ready to take it over from him!

But he does at least have the good grace to add - even with his pink cheeks -: ] I-If you don't mind. Sorry to ask you so much.

[ He's not kneeling on one knee for this, that's for sure, shimmying up in front of Inigo on both knees znc trying to work out the logistics of getting the belt in place. There's Inigo's hands holding up the pants, but this belt that needs to go around the top too. ]

Can you-- tell me when you've grabbed it. Hold it in place. [ Hold this belt on top of the pants, bro! ] You might want to put this on sitting down next time. Or see if anyone can sew the belt onto the pants?

[ Would that be a big problem? Tidus can't see a problem right now - would be easier to deal with, anyway. ]
