No? [ There's a questioning edge to the reply, when he thinks about Prompto's love for chocobos and then thinking about his own like for them, and - yeah, there's definitely a difference there. Cookie by his mouth, but he waits to finish talking first before taking another bird. ] I am nagging you, but it's 'cause I still don't get why you're so - this about them!

[ But should he be kinder to Inigo? Probably, and he'll relent and admit: ] I'm not really gonna buy one. But would you be like this if I wanted any other pet?

[ That's what he can't get. Would he be as thoughtful and rational about how a pet would fit in their room with any other animal? This doesn't sound like something either of them!! ]

[ ...That's about the best conclusion to this subject, isn't it. It can't really be called a conversation, with all their dumbery.

All Tidus can do is sigh with some resignation, even if- ]

Inigo... you are a hundred percent wrong. But, I respect you as my friend.

[ Even if you are wrong and incorrect about chocobos. But listen to this fair compromise, at Tidus's understanding expression - that it's okay if his friend has a bad opinion!

Regardless, he goes on: ]
I'll think about it. Anyway, for now, your flowers looking good? Don't need to feed 'em with some - [ he waves a hand ] - water?

[ Oh, moving them? A hassle. Tidus reaches out with his forefinger, poking the closest petal leaning in his direction with the rest of its flower. Poke. (Signs that Tidus would never be good at actually growing, himself-- ]

Time to bug the train for more greenhouse space? [ Hmm. ] Was that one of the poll votes? You could just move them if it gets that bad.

[ Out into the garden, or wherever. Get some pots and take the dirt, though it shouldn't really be Inigo to do that when his lot were here first. But it's an idle thought, suggested half-heartedly. A glimpse at his book with his account of the questioning in view, but he doesn't take in any of the words. ]

You gardeners will start putting up shelves and growing on the walls before long.

[ A smile tugs onto his lips, turning sly with the dip of his brows as a thought occurs. ]

Y'know, that wyvern of yours technically counts as one. And I can't have a giant chocobo? You really are taking over the whole room. [ No wonder why Inigo doesn't want a chocobo! It has nothing to do with their beaky faces at all! ]

I'll have to start pushing back. See what else I can fit in there... [ Not a lot at all. He rests his elbow on his knee, a fist under his chin.

But he can think up some later, if he decides to actually care. For now he rises onto his feet proper, searching where Gibbs is amongst the other plants before looking back at Inigo. ]

You got any washing? Might head to the washers, see if there's anything in the room. 'm bored enough.

[ To be clean. ]

Mm, you know, platform days...

[ Or so Tidus is mumbling, in that 'you know' way; how everything gets thrown off-kilter, but also not. So it goes for Tidus, never quite knowing how to settle or get back into the groove.

But then there's lips against his, another in his space, near his face; the latter staying longer than the former before they both leave, Inigo tending back to his flowers, a man doing nothing out of the ordinary.

If he's going to do things like that, can't the flowers wait? But it spurs in Tidus a recollection, a subject he's wanted to touch on; and the desire to say something cool and suggestive bumbles around in his throat, the words not quite there.

He takes a few steps in the direction of their room, facing away from Inigo, but lingers there. Hesitating.

Then- ]

When you're done, can you meet me back in our room? There's something I want to talk to you about. --Later, [ he adds quick, looking back. ]

Promise, nothing bad.
