There’s a need for it out here, in Somnius. That was one of the first things I learned about this place. My friend Eren - boyfriend now, we’ve known each other since I got here - got me a sword, and we’ve been training nearly every day since.
[She’s getting her timelines mixed up somewhat; the sword acquisition preceded the notion that Aubrey, herself, would ever have to fight. It feels like an eternity ago now. Memories from before the first overgrowth have been scrambled, in retrospect....
[Besides the point, though.] I’m glad I know now, and that you do, too. I tell everyone new here that they should have a way to fight, or stick close to someone who can. It’s necessary.

That sounds fine to me. My schedule is rather flexible, so as long as you just let me know that you are heading this way on any given day, I will try and make sure that I am there to spar with you.
