I have been trying to look out for people in this place who might have a little bit more trouble making friends here, to try and prevent them from ending up too lonely here. Perhaps you could let me know if you ever come across someone here who might seem that way? I know you would likely be kind enough to provide them company already, but one more friend could never hurt anyone, surely, and I would never mind being that extra friend!

I would love for him to be able to make another friend here. And I know you would be nothing but kind to him! You seem like a very understanding person.
I do know that type! I know them very well. My family is filled with that type of person. Icy on the outside, warm on the inside.
I'd love to meet him. It's so nice of you to think about how hard it must be for him. You're a good friend! And don't worry, no matter how prickly he acts, I'll keep doing my best to find common ground we can bond over.
