Inigo lets out a soft little breath. It almost sounds like a small heh. Amused, fond.
"Well, Vol'tha, why don't you tell me!" Turning the attention away from himself again, but it's not really purposeful. It's just that he's rather be thinking about this when it comes to her than when it comes to himself. "How would you spend a day without worries? I am sure you must have some ideas about that, if not outright big dreams!"
She's quiet for a very long moment after he says that, contemplating it.
"Meditating with the dawn, a nice breeze on my face. Exercise in a beautiful forest, the sounds of nature all around me. Relaxing by fishing in a pond without any fish. A refreshing bath in a cool river. A good meal, a nice stiff shot of Corellian Ale - and possibly someone warm next to me to sleep, if I'm being quite lucky and indulgent."
For a Jedi, that is the dream. The small, every day things that others might take for granted. To life that good life, that fulfilling life. To grow old in peace, having lived and loved without fear and without regret.
It's a good-natured laugh, though. He isn't making fun of her at all. Sure, some of her favourite activities don't sound all that interesting to him, but he knows that tastes differ. Clearly this is what Vol'tha enjoys, and he's just glad for her sake that she's so fully aware of what things make her happy.
It's a good thing to know in case you ever need to cheer yourself up, after all.
"So.. I understand this is a bold question, but have you had much luck before with those warm people sleeping next to you?"
Because it isn't. Not to him. Sure, he wouldn't be able to tell for sure with Vol'tha, since it's not like they have ever discussed this topic in the first place. But if he had to guess, he would definitely say that she seems like someone who would like to settle down with someone one day.
Doesn't it fit with the whole chill meditation vibe, after all?
"Just because of what the Jedi used to be like, or due to something personal about you?" Because he certainly can't imagine the latter!
"Some people think our lifestyle makes it hard. And sometimes, it does. And I did spend the majority of my life thus far on my own."
She smiles, for once a bit bashfully.
"And I admit, opening my heart up like that for someone? That deeply? It's exciting and a bit daunting at the same time. But mostly the former. Now, as for the Order, well..."
She shakes her head.
"Let's just say we learned the hard way that the denial of love can lead to catastrophic consequences."
He smiles at her. "Well, I am fairly sure that most people feel that way about love, you know."
Even when it isn't technically denied to you a little through your duty. Inigo has a hard time imagining anyone experiencing love without feeling both excited yet daunted over it at the same time. It's just a part of the process.
"Opening yourself up to someone like that can leave you incredibly vulnerable, after all. But it also means that you have someone to share every single part of you with when it comes down to it." High risk, high reward, or so they say.

Though it isn't entirely a good thing, but then again what is?
But she nods at his explanation. It's a good one. And true.
"So a day with no worries. How would people like us spend our time, hmm?"

"Some. Some that is quite lovely, very casual - though in the long run..."
She shrugs.
"This may surprise you, but I am very much the settling down kind. Not today, but...one day. With the right person."
She sighs, closing her eyes and smiling.
"The Jedi of old were forbidden love, things like marriage and family - in our era, we recognize the error of this thinking."

She sighs.
"One day," she finally says, with a nod. "One day."
